We have just started our adventure into Ancient Greece. There are many things to learn about this dynamic ancient civilization. We will be completing a web quest into the lives of the ancient Greeks. Ancient Egypt!
Check out this site on Egyptian Mummification to learn more about the process of how and why the Egyptians mummified their members.
After a pharaoh was mummified, he was laid to rest in a pyramid built in his honor. The Great Pyramid, in Giza, is the most well known and largest pyramid...and it is still standing today! Its structure, based off of the Golden Ratio and the Fibonacci Sequence, allow it to stay strong today. Enjoy the video from the History channel about this great building experience and ask your scholars if they can explain the Golden Ratio or Fibonacci Sequence (1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8...).

Ancient Civilizations Mannequin Challenge: Students created quick backdrops, props, and intro signs for the Akkadians, Assyrians, Chaldeans, and Babylonians. They posed using the characteristics of these civilizations for the Mannequin Challenge.
